Rooibos is one of the most famous exports coming out of South Africa.
And in recent years, it’s world stature has slowly grown to become the most preferred non-caffeinated tea.
It always seem to be the case that when things taste better, they get more expensive.
Rooibos is one popular consumable item that goes against that notion.
It has a premium taste, yet easily available and affordable. Maybe that’s one reason why they have been used as flavors for cakes, sauces, desserts, and other types of pastries.
How to brew
Because rooibos has a tinge of fruity taste to it, it goes well with fruit teas and fruit juices.
The best way to enjoy rooibos tea in my opinion is to add a slice of lemon and a teaspoon of honey.
Sometimes with lemon balm and lavender.
